Short Biography:

PhD from the Postgraduate Program in Sociology at the University of São Paulo (2016), Master from the Postgraduate Program in Sociology at the University of São Paulo (2010) and Bachelor in Social Sciences from the Federal University of Paraná (2005). She completed a postdoctoral degree at the Violence Studies Center (2017-2018).

She is a PhD Professor at the Department of Sociology at the University of São Paulo and a researcher at the Center for Violence Studies at USP. She worked as a Research Assistant at the NGO Ação Educativa (2011) and was a member of the Editorial Board of Revista Plural (2008-2010) and Revista de Sociologia e Política (2006-2013).

She has experience in the area of Sociology, with an emphasis on Sociology of Punishment and Sociology of Violence, working mainly on the following topics: punishment, juvenile justice system, socio-educational measures, adolescents in conflict with the law, Statute of Children and Adolescents.
