Short Biography:

Full professor at the Department of Sociology at the University of São Paulo, President of Cebrap (Brazilian Center for Analysis and Planning), and researcher at CNPq PQ-1D. She has a PhD in sociology from the University of São Paulo (2000), with a Post-Doctorate at Yale University (2010).

She was awarded the CNPq / Anpocs (2001), John S. Guggenheim Foundation Award (2009), Jabuti (2016) and the Brazilian Academy of Letters (2016). She was a member of the academic committees of ANPOCS (2014-16) and BBM-USP (2013-2016) and coordinator of LAPS-USP (2012-2015).

His research and publications focus on investigating the relationships between culture and political action and political and intellectual movements.
