Short Biography:

He has a degree in Social Sciences (2002), a master's degree in Sociology (2005) and a doctorate in Sociology from the University of São Paulo (2010). He completed a doctoral internship at the University of Essex (2007-2008) and a postdoctoral degree at CEDEC (2012-2013). Since 2013, he has been a professor of Sociology at the Faculty of Philosophy, Letters and Human Sciences at the University of São Paulo.

He is the author of the book A Campanha das Diretas e a Democratização (2007).

His areas of interest include: Social Stratification, Sociology of Culture and Political Sociology, focusing on the themes: social classes, lifestyles, inequalities, cultural tastes and practices, collective action and political behavior. He is coordinator of the Social Information Consortium (www.cis.org.br).
