Short Biography:

He graduated in Social Sciences from the University of São Paulo (1987), where he completed his master's degree (1992) and doctorate (1996), as well as his associate degree (2003). Since 2010 he has been a full professor at the University of São Paulo.

He works in the area of sociology, with an emphasis on sociological theory, sociology of culture, history of sociology, historical anthropology and sociology of music.
