Short Biography: 

Professor at the Department of Sociology at the University of São Paulo since 2019. He worked as Assistant Professor at the Department of Education at the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro between 2015 and 2018, where he was coordinator of the Postgraduate Program in Education (in 2018 ) and coordinator of GPEDS (Research Group on Education and Social Inequalities).

PhD from the Postgraduate Program in Sociology at the University of São Paulo (2014), master's degree in Sociology from the Postgraduate Program in Sociology at the Federal University of Minas Gerais (2008) and bachelor's degree in Social Sciences from the Federal University of Minas Gerais ( 2005).

He has experience in the area of Sociology, with an emphasis on Sociology of Education, Stratification and Social Inequalities, Sociology of Work and Public Policies, working mainly on the following topics: inequalities in educational results and opportunities, public policies, labor market, stratification and social inequalities .
