Bacharel e licenciada em Ciências Sociais pela Universidade de São Paulo (bolsista CNPq), mestre em Sociologia pela Universidade de São Paulo (bolsista CAPES) e doutora em Sociologia pela Universidade de São Paulo (bolsista FAPESP), com estágio doutoral no Social Sciences Division da University of Chicago (bolsista FAPESP). Realizou pesquisa de pós doutorado na Yokohama City University (Japan Foundation fellowship) e no Center for Artificial Intelligence/ IBM-USP-FAPESP (bolsista FAPESP). Professora do Departamento de Sociologia da Universidade de São Paulo, pesquisadora do Núcleo de Estudos da Violência (NEV) e do C4AI (Center for artificial Intelligence). Coordenadora do grupo de pesquisa CNPq Sociologia Digital e Inteligência Artificial e da iniciativa "Understanding AI" (UAI) do Instituto de Estudos Avançados/USP. Coordenadora da Licenciatura em Ciências Sociais e vice coordenadora do Bacharelado em Ciências Sociais da USP. Autora do livro "Sociology in Brazil: a brief institucional and intellectual history". Tem experiência na área de Sociologia, atuando principalmente nas seguintes áreas: Teoria Social, Sociologia da Memória, Sociologia Digital, Sociologia da Violência; e nos seguintes temas: Instituições Disciplinares, Produção de conhecimento, Identidade, Trauma e Sofrimento, Narrativas Autobiográficas.
Minibio:
She holds a bachelor's degree in Social Sciences (2012) and a master's degree (2015) from the University of São Paulo. Completed her doctorate at the University of São Paulo in 2020, under the supervision of Prof. Marcos César Alvarez, with a doctoral internship at the University of Chicago (2018-2019) under the supervision of Prof. Andreas Glaeser (FAPESP fellow). She was a Japan Foundation post-doc fellow, where she conducted research under the supervision of Prof. Sachiko Takita-Ishii at Yokohama City University. She was a post-doctoral researcher (FAPESP grant) at the Center for Artificial Intelligence (IBM- USP- FAPESP). She is an associate researcher at the Center for the Study of Violence (NEV) and the Center for Artificial Intelligence (C4AI). Together with Prof. Leopoldo Waizbort, she coordinates the "CNPq Digital Sociology and Artificial Intelligence Group" and the "Understanding AI (UAI)" initiative at USP's Institute for Advanced Studies. She is the author of the book "Sociology in Brazil" (Palgrave) and a member of the Editorial Board of the journal "The American Sociologist".
